MAFCU Presents "Walk Home" Funds to Mass. Credit Union League to Help Homeless Families
Brookline, MA – MAFCU Federal Credit Union recently presented a check in the amount of $23,991.72, the proceeds of MAFCU's "Walk Home" event, a 5K benefit walk for the homeless that took place in June. The check was presented to Massachusetts Credit Union League President Dan Egan, who will disburse the funds to Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless and Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program.
The League is very proud to be part of MAFCU's efforts to raise funds and awareness for the more than 3,600 families with children in Massachusetts who live in shelters and motels," says Egan. "The League and credit unions are committed to addressing homelessness, and helping families and children gain access to stable housing as a key component of overall financial wellbeing."
