Brookline Police Reports : September 9 to September 29

Assault:


Occurred on 9/18 at 7:54 PM - Coolidge Corner
Officers responded to a report that there had just been a fight and there was an injured person. A suspect was located near the victim and he told officers he was involved in the fight. He then removed a small pocket knife from his pants pocket.

 

Brookline Police Reports : September 8 to September 15


Occurred on 9/12 at 3:50 – Commonwealth Ave./St. Paul St.
Officers responded to the area for a traffic crash involving a motorist and bicyclist. The driver of the vehicle and his passenger reported sitting at the red light when the biker came speeding down the bike lane and struck the passenger side view mirror. The driver said his vehicle never entered the bike lane.

Brookline Police Reports : August 15 to August 22

Occurred at 9:57 PM on 8/18 – St. Mary’s St./Park Dr.
Officers on patrol in the area due to the rise in construction site thefts observed a dark colored pickup truck near a construction site. A male was seen inside the sectioned off area where the workers keep their equipment. He was then observed throwing a large object into his truck and driving away down an alley.

Brookline Police Reports : July 18th to July 25th

Occurred at 1:25 PM on 7/26 – Beacon St./Carlton St.
An officer observed an individual cycling close to parked vehicles and look inside each one as he passed. The officer also noticed a screwdriver protruding from his back pocket. The individual was stopped and questioned about his intentions, and due to observing the screwdriver and the evasive answers he was giving, a pat frisk was conducted, which revealed a large folding knife in his front pocket. A social security card was also discovered, and the name was one known to Boston and Brookline Police for past burglary offenses. As the officer radioed to dispatch, the individual pushed the officer backwards and pedaled away.

Brookline Police Reports : July 11th to July 18th

Occurred at 10:00 PM (7/11) – Chestnut St.
Officers were patrolling the area and observed a motor vehicle traveling on Cypress St. A query of the license plate number returned that there was an active arrest warrant for the registered owner of the vehicle. Officers pulled the vehicle over and discovered that the registered owner was driving it, after confirming through a photo from the RMV.

Brookline Police Reports : July 7th to July 11th

Occurred at 10:00 PM (7/11) – Chestnut St. 
Officers were patrolling the area and observed a motor vehicle traveling on Cypress St. A query of the license plate number returned that there was an active arrest warrant for the registered owner of the vehicle. Officers pulled the vehicle over and discovered that the registered owner was driving it, after confirming through a photo from the RMV.

Brookline Police Reports : June 29th - July 6th

Occurred at 1:45 PM (7/3) – Chestnut Hill Ave./Dean Rd. 
Officers responded to a 3-car MV crash. The operator of one of the vehicles reported she was struck from behind by a man driving a black motor vehicle who fled from the scene.

Brookline Police Reports : June 20th to 28th

Occurred between 4:43 PM (6/20) and 5:15 PM (6/20) – Beacon Street 
Officers responded to a report of a male subject trying to fill a fake prescription. Upon arrival officers spoke with the reporting person and learned that the subject had attempted to fill the fake prescription.

Brookline Police Reports : June 13th to 20th

Arrests:

Occurred between 7:52 PM and 8:35 PM (6/15) – Beacon Street/ Marion Street 
Officers were patrolling the area of Beacon Street when they conducted a traffic stop for an expired registration sticker. Upon investigation officers asked the subject for his license and registration. This is when officers learned that the subject had a Massachusetts license to operate that had been suspended

Brookline Police Reports : June 6th to 13th

Arrests:

Occurred at 6:25 PM (6/7) – Yarmouth Road
Officers responded to a report of unlicensed soliciting. Upon arrival officers learned that a male subject was soliciting magazines but was not properly licensed to do so in Brookline. 

Brookline Police Reports : April 19th - 22nd

Officers conducted a traffic stop for lane violations. Upon investigation officers learned that the subject’s license to operate in Massachusetts was suspended.
